And for all the wrong reasons! Hooray for flooding!
This picture is where we go to church every sunday. Well, not this sunday...or perhaps the next...and the next... they are expecting the flooding to be here for possibly up to 1 - 2 months. Unreal.

The first night of the flood, I found myself in Marikina, by SM mall in waist high water on a rescue mission for one of our co workers families were trapped on their 2nd floor. We pushed for about 500 meters to get to them and then I carried a kid about 8 or 10 years old on my back out of the flood zone.
From then it's been just random deliveries of supplies and helping out agents at work. I went out to one agents place the other day since the flood had subsided in some areas and in his 'home' the water line on his walls was at the 6 foot mark.
We are doing well, and have gone through our closets multiple times donating all we can. Today, after church, Angela went with the bishop in our van to drop off food and medical supplies. She also told him to have anyone stay at our place who needs a place.
I have driven supplies out to some employees and the flood and damage is truly surreal. Debris and refuse are all over the streets and cobbled together in makeshift piles. People are literally homeless in many places and living on cots by the road. I have had employees come to work with a shirt, shorts, and sandals and that is all they own. The rest was washed away and ruined.
Others have made it to shelters the government has put together while others have moved in with family, friends, and neighbors. Our bishop's home is approximately the size of our kitchen and he has 13 people staying with him.
The Pinoy people are super resilient and will pull through. They are super caring and fantastic people. Wish we had the means to do more.

Amazing! People down there are truly blessed to have you in their lives. I'm glad you are able to help out in so many ways. I'm happy you are safe and hope the water lowers quickly. They also talked about you guys in conference too.

glad to hear you guys are doing ok and out of major damage it sounds.sounds like everyone is really bonding and helping out. It really makes us appreciate things more.

that is crazy that weather can cause so much damage! glad you guys are safe. what an awful tragedy, but how great that you have the chance to help those in need.
