The Dancing Diva!

Gabby was in a dance review a couple of weeks ago. She did an awesome job and we are so proud of her. She loves dancing do much! She is still asking if she can go to her dance review again. At the beginning of the show they introduced all of the "stars of the show" one by one. Gabby came out and they said said, "introducing...Miss Gabby Anderson". Here she is coming out and doing a curtsy. It was adorable. I posted a million pictures. Sorry! She is just too cute and I couldn't choose.
Curtsy!
At the dress rehearsal, and looking super excited!

Listening intently to her teacher.
The next several pictures are of her doing her ballet dance. They get to do 3 dances at the review. Ballet, Tap and Jazz.
When Gabby is really concentrating she sticks her tongue out to the side. It is noticeable in several pictures. So cute!!!

Pliea...
Curtsy... this is one is my very favorite!

Releve, pirouette...

This dance was Gabby's favorite and you could really tell while she was performing. It was to the alphabet song, "Jumping J", and there was lots of jumping involved. I am sure the jumping was the main reason she loved it so much.
Bouncing away to the music.

Jumping and swinging that ponytail. She is such a girly-girl. I may be in trouble in the teen years.
Notice the tongue again?!

This move is one of her favorites. She loves going down then jumping up and throwing her hands in the air.
Jumping off the stage.
As you may notice there are no pictures of her doing her tap dance. They don't allow flash photography at the actual review. So you have to go to the rehearsal to take any pictures and photos that you may want. Well she came out on stage to do her tap dance during the rehearsal and saw me in front of the stage ready to take pictures and broke down to tears. She wouldn't stop so she walked over to me and I was holding. I had about convinced her to go back on stage and practice with her class when a girl did a shuffle step and her tap shoe flew off and hit Gabby in the back. After that there was no convincing her. Luckily the night of the show she was all smiles and performed all of her dances perfectly. We are so proud of her and so excited for all the future dance reviews we get to go to. (Especially Kessee ;) )

Our little dancer with the flowers that my mom and I gave her.
Me and Gabby after the show!
Way to go Gabby...we can't wait for next year!
(I will be posting some video of her actually dancing when I have a little more time).

Spring Soccer!

Soccer, Soccer, Soccer!!!
Jaxton played city soccer this season and LOVED it! It is so funny to watch a bunch of 5-6 year old kids play soccer. They all just chase the ball around. Jaxton's team was pretty good though and he had a blast! Most of the games were fair weather...meaning not absolutely freezing to death while a few were below zero in my book. One game it was snowing, like ALOT, and they didn't cancel until parents started complaining. Jax was soaked when he came off the field. Of course I didn't take any pictures that day because I was bundled up and hiding in a blanket because I was freezing.
Kessee and I took a ton of pictures and I love so many of them I had to post them. :)

Awesome action shot!

He looks like a little pro here!
Making his first goal of the season. I am so glad we got a picture of it. I wish we had got it on video too. Jax was so excited as you can tell from the next few photos!
Celebrating...

These next few are my favorite. He looks completely full of joy. Have you ever seen a kid so happy?!
He celebrated for forever. He even did the moon walk which was hysterical! How I didn't get a picture of that I don't know. But Kessee and I were cracking up!!!

I couldn't resist throwing this picture in. This little girl was a trooper and went to every game. She says she can't wait to play soccer too. She is so eager to grow up. I wish she would slow down. :(

Long overdue post!

I haven't blogged in an eternity. I am not sure why. Most likely it is due to the fact that my life is boring and nothing exciting happens around here. It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago and my awesome husband carried on his tradition of making me a 3 layer chocolate cake. It is always so yummy and HUGE! It is usually around the house for weeks because of it's size, but that way we get to enjoy yummy chocolate cake for a long time. This year Gabby joined in in on the baking and she had a blast.

I don't think I could love this picture any more. Her little face looks so cute and curious as she looks at the stirring batter.
MMMMMMMMM...........................

The final result!

Hopefully I can play catch up for the next few days on blogging. I really need to. But... I make not promises because I know my procrastinating self all to well.

The day afteir my birthday was St. Patty's day. I have never done anything green food wise in the past so I decided to try it this year. Jax said he couldn't eat green food that a leprechaun dyed green because it will make you tired. I tried everything I could think of to convince him otherwise and nothing worked. He finally agreed to eat it when I showed him the food dye and told him I had done it myself. There isn't much you can get past this kid.

Green shamrock pancakes.

Green milk. I found it a little difficult to drink. Something about green food is just so un-appetizing.

My book series.

Kessee here. For those who may or may not know, I have been working on a hobby book series. It is going to be a trilogy. Well, I have been toying with the idea of looking for an agent to represent it if they think it's interesting enough. Well, I came across a website today, and it is calling for 'fictional Book of Mormon stories' that if selected, a short story of 2000 - 5000 words may be included in the upcoming book. So today I typed up a short story that is a prelude / type / shadow backstory to one of my minor characters for the series. I submitted it and it is now on their site. So click the link below, check it out, let me know what you think and if you are generous enough, leave a comment over there.

(here is a concept art picture of the character I am portraying in the story click link below)

(***my music sucks so you it's in your interest to turn down the volume..if not completely off.)

*UPDATE*

Given all the comment support, I guess I know I shouldn't go into writing! hehe. It's ok, I understand.

I miss it already!

So it has been an eternity since I last blogged. Life has been hectic and I have been without a computer for awhile. Here are some pictures of our last outing in the Philippines. We went to a resort called "Eagle Point". It is a private island owned by the resort. We had a fantastic time. There was only one other family there at the time and they had a 6 year old girl that Jax really hit it off with. We called it "Jaxton's Island Romance". They were pretty funny!
We had a blast and I am missing my "island life" and the weather already. But we are super happy to be back and look forward to all that is in store in the future.

Isn't it beautiful?!
